The Class

These sessions are designed to support deep rest, nervous system regulation, and reconnection to your own internal rhythm.Yoga Nidra guides you into a state between waking and sleep where the body can fully let go. The gong and layered sound help quiet mental activity and bring you back into a more grounded, steady state.The Gong strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system, tunes up the glandular system, and slows brain waves, creating optimal conditions for deep relaxation and healing. The Gong also has a cumulative healing effect on the mind, body, and spirit, inviting clarity, vibrancy, intuition, and awareness to resonate within our being.You don’t need experience. Just bring your presence and willingness to let go and surrender.You simply arrive, lie down, and allow the body to do what it already knows how to do.This is a space to step out of effort.

Your Facilitator

Stacy Abbott is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor who has been practicing for over two decades and teaching for the past ten years. Her work centers on Yoga Nidra and gong sound immersion, offering weekly classes at Project Yoga Richmond.Her approach is shaped not only by formal training, but by years of personal work with nervous system regulation, grief, and lived experience. She creates spaces that are steady, accessible, and free from pressure—where the body is given permission to rest and recalibrate in its own way.These sessions are not about achieving a state or doing anything “right.” They are an invitation to step out of effort, to listen more closely, and to reconnect to self.
